Go Food Shopping with a Latina Diabetes Nutrition Expert
This program seeks to promote effective diabetes self-management through smart shopping skills. The grocery shopping tour is an interactive activity to increase nutrition awareness and knowledge among Hispanics/Latinos with diabetes.

Diabetes Faith-Based Coordinator Program
This faith-based outreach initiative included 14 churches, representing approximately 4,000 active church members. Each pastor designated a health coordinator who attended educational sessions on diabetes prevention and management strategies. The health educator educates the community about diabetes, identifies and assists church members in need of medical referrals and helps with self-management skills.
